Domaine ‘a la Jambe de l’Homme’ is situated in the central part of Cathar Country, in the immediate vicinity of the Cité de Carcassonne, the bookvillage of Montolieu and the Abbey of Villelongue. In the neighbourhood you can go for walks, even long-distance walking is possible, and there are plenty of opportunities to make tours by (mountain)bike.
At only an hour’s drive you find both The Mediterranean and The Pyrenees. Our garden is the place to be if you want to relax, read a book, go for a swim in our swimming-pool or just take a nap in the shade near the brook, which contains the foundations of an old Roman Road! For those who want more activity: the lawn is big enough for playing football.
The name of our Domaine is derived from the name of the range of hills next to us: La Jambe de l’Homme...
Our Domaine is situated in the hamlet of Villelongue, part of the little village of St. Martin le Vieil . Villelongue has 12 inhabitants including ourselves.
